Day 142

Trail miles: 0
Total: 2393.8

Beach day! We went to the Jazzy Bagel for breakfast and it was awesome! I had ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese bagel for my meal and a chocolate chip bagel with cinnamon cream cheese for later, but I ended up eating it all at once without a problem. Plus a Kona mocha frappe with it. There was a big tent sale at the stores Colombia, Prana, Sorell, and Mountain Hardware, where everyone but me found lots of clothes on sale. At the beach we got seafood at Ecola and it was very disappointing. Probably some of the worst seafood I’ve eaten actually. The crepes with ice cream, strawberries, and bananas made up for it though. We explored the town and bought some souvenirs before we went over to the beach. We walked toward Haystack Rock and hung out for a bit in the sand. It was nice to relax and listen to the waves for a bit. Then it got pretty cold, so we walked back. One more trip for food before we walked back to the cars. Uncle Kent and Aunt Mary couldn’t believe how much food we had eaten today. They said they’ve never seen anything like it! I guess that hiker hunger is still going strong.
